Blog 52 - Mid-Term 2010` PART 1

1. Sarah Palin's Haiti Visit: Blink and You'd Miss It;
Sarah Palin, fomer Alaska governor, visited Haiti. She spent less than 48 hours in the earthquake-ravaged nation. Haiti is currently facin a growing epidemic that has already killed over 2,000 people, and mounting political unrest due o a contested election. Sarah's daughter, Bristol, and her husband, Todd joined Palin. She mostly remained off-limits to media organizations except for Fox News.

Palin visited a couple of cholera treatment centers in the notorious slum area of Cité Soleil. The organization has built about 10,000 temporary shelters since the earthquake. Haiti is the fourth country outside North America that Palin has visited. She said her impressions of the poorest country in the western hemisphere were "much harsher" than she had expected. Sarah Palin said she really enjoyed meeting the community.

It was very caring of her to visit Haiti after the disaster. Sarah said they are so full of joy. We are so fortunate in America that it is time to help those who are less fortunate. Palin was seen rubbing the foot of an infant. Also, delivering gifts to children.
