blog assignment #18: Obama

President Barack Obama

Obama is the first African-American president and is also the 44th president. Obama was born in Honolulu, Hawaii. His birthday is August 4, 1961. He is married to Michelle Robinson Obama. They got married on October 3, 1992. They have two kids;Malia and Sasha. His occupations are; Author, Community organizer, layer, constitutional law and professor. 
Barack Obama graduated from Columbia University in 1983 and earned his Law Degree from Harvard University in 1991, where he became the first African-American President of the Harvard Law Review.

Sasha is the first White House resident born in the 21st century. He won a Grammy Award in 2006 for Best Spoken Word Recording. It was for the audio version of his book Dreams From My Father. He doesn’t like ice-cream. He worked in Baskin-Robbins as a teenager. That’s where his distaste for ice-cream comes from. He loves playing Scrabble. He never commented on how good he is, though. His father, an economist, was born in Kenya and his mother was born in Kansas.

Obama was raised, mostly in Hawaii, by his late mother and grandparents. He graduated from Columbia University in New York and received his law degree, graduating  from Harvard Law School. His name means "one who is blessed" in Swahili.  He ate dog meat, snake meat, and roasted grasshopper while living in Indonesia.  He can speak Spanish

His duties are to be a good president. To make sure everybody has a shelter. He is currently living in
The White House. He residence it in Chicago, Illinois. He's a very brave man because he takes on the responsibilities as a president.

He is a Democrat from Illinois. He has served the state of Illinois as a senator in the U.S. Senate since 2004. Before being president, he was a senator in the Illinois state Senate. He ran again Hillary Clinton and John McCain and succeded. He continues to be in office as of today.
