A man opened fire during a training in Pachir Wagam district. He was also killed. Local officers say that the incident happened because of a misunderstanding. Sources say the men dead were American. It was hard to get accurate information because the phone lines were not working.
2)Suspected serial killer seized in Sicily:
Italian police have arrested a 69-year-old man on suspicion of carrying out a series of murders in a town in Sicily. Giuseppe Raeli has been charged with 5 murders and 4 attempted murders in Cassibile between 1998 and 2009. When a helicopter and a special police unit raided his house early Monday, he was arrested. A married couple and their daughter was wounded in the incident. The man wanted justice for himself over those who didn't pay him for small jobs he'd done for them.
3)Leslie Nielsen, comic actor and Airplane! star, dies:
Veteran comic actor Leslie Nielsen has died at the age of 84.He died in hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He was being treated for pneumonia. Canadian-born Nielsen began as a serious actor but in 1980, his role as a hapless doctor in the film Airplane! made him a comic star. In all, he appeared in more than 100 films and had a star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame. Over the last 2 days his condition got worse, and his relatives say he passed away peacefully.
4)Aztecas gang boss Gallegos 'admits Mexico murders':
Mexican police have arrested an alleged leader of the Aztecas street gang that is blamed for much of the violence in Ciudad Juarez on the US-Mexico border. Arturo Gallegos Castrellon was captured at the weekend in Juarez, which has seen some 2,700 murders this year. He confessed to ordering most of the killings in Juarez since August 2009, including that of a US consular employee. Mr. Gallegos was captured during a weekend raid along with two other gang leaders, Carlos Rodriguez Ramirez and Gisela Ornelas Nunez.
5)Iranian nuclear scientist killed in motorbike attack:
An Iranian nuclear scientist has been killed and another wounded in two separate but similar attacks in the capital, Tehran. The scientists were targeted by men on motorbikes who attached bombs to the windows of their cars as they drove to work. The scientist killed has been named as Majid Shahriari. President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has accused "Western governments" and Israel of being behind the killing. His wife was said to be injured in the attack.
