Week 1/Friday

Fri. 2 Samuel 11: 1-27 David and BathshebaWhen is it hard for you to admit fault?David sent Joab out with the king’s men and the Israelite army. One evening David got up from his bed and walked around on the roof of the palace. David wanted to meet a lady and she told him she was having a baby. When I do something and I know I am wrong, it is hard to admit my fault. Also, when people point out my mistakes.

Week 1/Thursday

Thurs. 2 Samuel 9: 1-13 The King’s Kindness
What promises need to be kept in your life?

David asked his servant if there anyone left of the house of saul, so he could show God's kindness to. And there was a son of Jonathan whom was crippled n both of his feet. David told the crippled boy not to be afraid because he would show him kindness. He would restore to him all the land that had belonged to his grandfather Saul, and that Mephibosheth would always eat at David's table. Mephiboseth lived in Jerusalem because he always ate at the king's table and he was crippled in both of his feet. A promise to God needs to be kept in my life. Not to give in to the devil's sin and lies..

Week 1/ Wednesday

Wed. 2 Samuel 5: 1-12 David Is King Over Israel
How could you become a person who is more pleasing to God, as David was?

The tribes of Israel came to Hebron and told David that God appointed him ruler over Israel. Then the elderly anointed David and had became king. David and his men went to defeat the Jebusites. They won.! He called the residence at the fortress "City of David." David had become more powerful because God was with David. Hiram sent construction workers to build David a palace. I can be more obedient and respectful.

Week 1/ Tuesday

Tues. 1 Samuel 28: 1-25 Saul and the Occult:  What kinds of things could be considered “occult practices”? How would God feel about your involvement in such things?
After Samuel died, Saul stopped all mediums in Isreal. Saul set out for a woman who was a medium. The woman was told to bring Samuel up. When she did, Saul questioned why the Philistines were against him.Samuel told them that the Lord had done for them and Saul refused to eat. Some things that can be considered occult practices are believing that people have the power to see ghosts and other nonsence paranormal activites. God doesn't like when we believe in anything other than him and his law and word.
